Whimsical but also functional teapots and pitchers formed over river rocks for shape. His pieces are surprisingly lightweight, with beautiful glazes in a wide range of colors from earthy natural, sage, and brown to blues, red and purple. Creative decorations include the clay wrapped "emerging" style where the main piece seems to be shedding a skin or breaking out of a shell of unglazed clay. Other designs include the fern design in wax resist or in a contrast glaze.
